Financial Services

TFA Mortgages, independent mortgage advisers, have been an integral part of the Parkers team since 2014 and have become an essential part of their client offering.

Covering both the Poundbury and Bridport offices, Ross Appleby and Ben Old offer flexible appointments either in the clients’ own home, at the Parkers offices or at the new office which they have opened in Weymouth this year. Out of hours and Saturday appointments are also possible to fit in with clients’ busy lives. Both have worked in financial services for over 20 years.

Ross commented ‘Our affiliation to Parkers is something we are very proud of and we feel our businesses complement each other perfectly. Client sentiment certainly seems to echo this, as our referral levels from existing clients has been superb and it is comforting to know that we must be doing the right things.

Business has gone from strength-to-strength in 2017 and we would anticipate this building further in 2018. We are still seeing very strong first-time-buyer activity in Dorchester, Weymouth and Bridport. The service standards that we offer in terms of it being simple, straight-forward and honest have been particularly well received by this buyer demographic. It seems that to many, the mortgage process is one that is very daunting and one that they enter with a certain degree of apprehension and anxiety. The feedback this year has been that we very much remove these elements and make the process as smooth and simple as possible, meaning that clients are able to experience the excitement of buying their first home without the usual trepidation.

As a result of how busy both ourselves and Parkers have been, the building of a bespoke mortgage office has been necessary in 2017. These new premises have been extremely well received by clients and business associates alike and will allow us greater flexibility moving forward to service more clients’.
